Yesterday evening I was talking about a WordPress plugin I developed with a close friend. I shared that the most amazing thing about this project has been that I’ve been talking to real people trying to do something real with something I built.
That’s a WOW!
They are using my plugin Chatbot ChatGPT for WordPress. The plugin is designed to enhance visitor engagement on WordPress websites using OpenAI’s ChatGPT Large Language Models (LLMs for short) and GPT Assistants. The plugin creates intelligent conversational partners that respond to visitor queries in a natural, conversational manner, offering real-time engagement, informing, and assistance.
That’s a WOW!
Later in the conversation I shared that this experience – building a plugin – is going to change everything for me. It’s going to give me something substantial to work on for the next couple of years. You see, I’ve been getting ready to retire. A lot of what I’ve read about the transition from the work force to retirement has been about finding meaning, a passion, a hobby, volunteering, and the like. I realized that I don’t have to figure that out now that I have the plugin.
That’s a WOW!
So, my future will be about continuing the development of the plugin, adding new features and functions, and extending its capabilities. And, I look forward to continuing to support other WordPress developers and site builders with a robust product. But most importantly, I’m excited about meeting and interacting with other people from around the world interested in using artificial intelligent chatbots to engage site visitors in ways that were not possible just a year ago.
At the start of this project my vision was to develop a product for a market that is underserved by enterprise chatbot vendors. Those vendors sell expensive products and services that are beyond the budgets of most small businesses. Furthermore, their products are geared to deliver live chat. Artificial intelligence advances enable AI chatbots to be built using GPT Assistants and easily deployed using the AI Powered Chatbot for WordPress plugin.
The future and my vision are becoming the reality. It’s a really exciting position to be in. I’ve often said it is about the journey and not about the destination. It’s exciting, it’s energizing, it’s challenging, and it’s scary, all at once. Nonetheless I can’t wait to see what happens next.
